Our First Model
The “Taylor Vanda” was the first model produced by our brand. It was 2018. I've developed several sketches and prototypes with simple, neat lines before this “baguette mini bag”.
I did some research. Talking with my friends- by this point you've probably discovered which is one of my favourite topics of conversation- and based on my own experience, I identified the following insights:
First: We needed a handbag that supported a long corporate agenda plus a –sometimes longer- well deserved free time with no time for boxes.
Second: The main, obvious option, a clutch, never had room enough for everything a girl needs for a night out: make up, my favorite lipstick, perfume, phone, keys, ID, and the long list of mandatory etceteras.
I wanted a balance between style and function; soft leather that supported the revised architecture and looked always perfect plus some accessories that this new clutch deserved.
After a long planning and prototyping time, the expected model was there. The very last details were closed by whatsapp calls during a nice dinner at NY, because of the different time zones with our committed manufacturer.
